Two men were arrested and charged with fencing stolen automobile parts on Friday, Jan. 3, following an undercover investigation by Secaucus police, authorities said. On Monday, Dec. 30, officers responded to the 500 block of New County Road on a report of an abandoned vehicle, Secaucus police said. Woman Brandished Knife At Walmart: Secaucus PD
A 57-year-old Jersey City woman was arrested and charged after she brandished a knife at a Walmart in Secaucus on the evening of Friday, Dec. 13, authorities said. At 10:59 p.m., officers responded to Walmart at 400 Park Plaza Dr. and found that Josephine Melendez brandished a folding knife and made threats during a verbal altercation, Secaucus police said. Melendez was charged with terroristic threats, multiple weapons offenses and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Secaucus Man Busted For Child Porn: Police
A 64-year-old Secaucus man was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography on Wednesday, Sept. 4, authorities said. Officers began investigating Dominic Gravina after receiving a tip that an image of child sexual abuse material was uploaded on a device that belonged to him, Secaucus police said in a release. A search was conducted of Gravina's Koelle Boulevard residence and electronic devices belong to him were seized, police said. Gravina was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police said. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.

The third time shoplifting Kohl's was not the charm for a 26-year-old Jersey City resident. Britney Lockett was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 11 and charged with shoplifting Kohl's in Secaucus three different times over the summer, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Lockett was charged with shoplifting from Kohl's on July 31, August 1 and August 3, police said. James Palmer, a 24-year-old Jersey City resident was charged in connection the initial shoplifting incident, police said. Lockett was issued three complaint summonses and released from police custody, police said.

Johan Marte Garteo was apprehended following a seven-month long investigation, where police determined he watched videos depicting children engaging in sexual acts, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. A security guard arrested for masturbating in front of a co-worker did it again 10 days later, authorities said. Rideef Scruggs, 36, of East Orange, touched himself sexually in front of a coworker while working at 1000 Riverside Station Boulevard, and charged March 7 with lewdness and criminal sexual contact, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. An East Orange man was charged with lewdness and criminal sexual contact after masturbating in front of a co-worker while working a security job in Secaucus, police said.
