Two out-of-towners were arrested after they threw liquid on protestors near the end of a controversial Israeli real estate showcase at a Teaneck synagogue, authorities said. 26 Catalytic Converters Stolen Overnight In Teaneck: One Caught, One Sought
Two men were part of a quick-strike crew who stole 26 catalytic converters combined over two early mornings in Teaneck, said authorities who arrested one and are searching for the other. The crew, which is responsible for countless recent catalytic converter thefts throughout New Jersey, swiped nine of the devices in the northeast section of Teaneck on Jan. 21, followed by 17 more ten days later, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr said. HELP SOUGHT: Authorities are searching for a driver who took off after hitting a 22-year-old Teaneck woman at a busy township intersection. The dark-colored Toyota sedan continued south on River Road toward Bogota after hitting the woman shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Cedar Lane, Deputy Police Chief Andrew R. McGurr said. 'Tragic Accident': Driver, 70, Killed By Sanitation Truck In Teaneck Park
UPDATE: A 70-year-old driver was killed when he was run over by his sanitation truck in a Teaneck park Monday morning, authorities confirmed. The victim "was in the process of preparing to off-load the truck’s contents" in Clarence W. Brett Park near River Road and Downing Street shortly before 10 a.m. when "the vehicle rolled backwards and struck him," Deputy Police Chief John Faggello said. Stuck In The Mud: Rescuers Retrieve Three Stranded In Hackensack River
Rescuers had to retrieve a trio of boaters who got stuck in the low-tide mud in the Hackensack River. The three got stuck near dusk Tuesday just off River Road in Teaneck. Teaneck firefighters brought them to shore. Also responding were firefighters from Hackensack and River Edge, with Bogota firefighters providing coverage in Teaneck.

Pickup Slams Into Teaneck Utility Pole
A driver walked away without serious injury after his pickup truck slammed into a utility pole in Teaneck. The driver told police a vehicle suddenly turned in front of him shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday. He said he swerved to avoid the vehicle and his Ford F150 struck the pole, snapping it in half, on River Road near the corner of Pomander Walk across from Five Star Premier Residences of Teaneck. Bicyclist Struck By SUV Outside FDU Teaneck Campus
A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by an SUV outside Fairleigh Dickinson University's Teaneck campus late Tuesday afternoon. A black Hyundai hit the victim at River Road and Cornwall Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m. She was conscious when the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps took her to Hackensack University Medical Center. The driver remained at the scene.
