Six Starved Kittens Rescued From Paterson Alley
Six underweight kittens abandoned in a Paterson alley will soon be in need of loving homes. The four-month-old cats were found in a pair of carriers and were described as being emaciated by Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, who is caring for them. The questions into their story are endless: Where did these kittens come from? Who could keep kittens in their home and not feed them? What if they hadn’t been discovered? How long did they wait for help? The kittens "voraciously" devoured their food, RBARI officials said. Click here to send them a gift from RBARI's Amazon wish list.

A Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge staff member was walking a dog when she noticed the sealed box, with a piece of paper labeled "kittens" taped to it on Oct. 18, the organization said. "She brought the box to a safe place, dreading what she would find inside," RBARI said. "When she slowly opened the box, four tiny eyes peered out at her, quite frightened. "She breathed a sigh of relief that these precious tiny kittens appeared to be healthy and bright eye…
