Firefighters responding to the Washington School on Ridge Road were met by intense heat and smoke that obscured all visibility shortly after 6 p.m. Sept. 16, 1st Assistant Fire Chief Paul Haggerty said. Jurors Quickly Convict Driver Caught By Lyndhurst PD With More Than ½ Pound Of Coke It took jurors in Hackensack barely more than half an hour to convict a driver caught by a Lyndhurst police officer with more than a half-pound of cocaine. Superior Court Susan J. Steele ordered 37-year-old Orlando Hernandez held in the Bergen County Jail pending sentencing on convictions for first-degree drug possession with the intent to distribute it and possession of cocaine.
