Two Jersey City Gang Members Sentenced For Role In Multiple Shootings: Feds
Two Jersey City gang members were sentenced to lengthy prison terms on Wednesday, Aug. 21, for their role in two different shootings and other crimes, authorities said.
Jakeem Gibson-Madison, a.k.a. “Beanz,” 30; and Terick Rogers, a.k.a. “Moot,” 32, are members of a Jersey City gang associated with the Marion Gardens Housing Complex, US Attorney Phillip Sellinger said. Gibson-Madison was sentenced to 15 years in prison while Rogers was sentenced to 16 years in prison, Sellinger said.

Murder: Trio Charged In Quintuple Jersey City Shooting
Three men have been charged with murder in a 2020 shooting that wounded four men and left one dead in Jersey City, authorities said.
Lamont Wiggins, 25, Sheldon Mays, 23 and Jermaine Jennings, 22, were charged with murder in the first degree, multiple counts of attempted murder, and various weapons charges in connection with the June 2020 incident on Union Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Jersey City officers responding to the scene between Martin Luther King Drive and Ocean Avenue and found multiple victims, including city resident Scott Colclough, Suarez said.

Jersey City Man Charged With Sexual Assaulting Girl, 14
A Jersey City man has been charged in a 2018 sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, authorities said Saturday.
Darious Dickey, 21, sexually assaulted the teen in an Ocean Avenue building on Feb. 17, 2018, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
He was arrested without incident at the prosecutor’s office in Jersey City Friday, Oct. 9, around 12:40 p.m., Suarez said.
Dickey was being held in the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny pending a first court appearance. He was charged with child endangerment, sexual assault and criminal sexual contact.
Second Man Charged With Murder In Jersey City Shooting
A second man has been arrested in charged in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Jersey City resident after the first suspect turned himself in, authorities said.
Tyree Witherspoon, 28, of Jersey City, was arrested on Stevens Avenue without incident Friday in connection with the April 4 killing of Akim Ward, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Devon Tutten, 23, turned himself into the Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit on Duncan Avenue and arrested Monday, May 4, Suarez said.
