Delivery Driver Busted With Firearm In North Jersey Town, Police Say
A 24-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged in Westfield while delivering food for unlawfully possessing a firearm on Sunday, Sept. 15, authorities said. A license plate recognition camera picked up a 2008 black BMW 328i bearing a New York registration entering Westfield, Westfield police said in a release. The vehicle was involved in a shooting that occurred in Jersey City a day before and was believed to be armed, police said. A 31-year-old West New York man was arrested after threatening to shoot a group of people walking through a Hoboken parking deck and then police — even though he didn't have a gun, police said. The group of men told police they were walking to a lot on 700 1st St., when a man later identified as Harrison Vargas approached them and began yelling around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, March 4, Hoboken Police Detective Lt. A teen boy was arrested for an attempted carjacking at a condominium complex in Somerset County last month, authorities said. A 38-year-old resident of the Polo Hills condominium complex in Far Hills told police that the 16-year-old boy entered her garage, brandished a knife, and demanded the keys to her car around 9:20 p.m on June 10, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Two men charged with killing a Parsippany man were captured after fleeing to California, authorities said Friday. The body of Jaime Lopez-Basilio was found in an Old Bloomfield Avenue home this past Sept. 9. Investigators determined that Rogelio Laureano-Gonzalez, 25, of Parsippany, killed him with a blow to the head, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M.
