Jersey City Man Gets 17 Years For Strangling Girlfriend: Prosecutor
A 28-year-old Jersey City man was sentenced on Thursday, July 25 to 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to strangling a 27-year-old woman in 2021, authorities said. Tyquan Baisden pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in May, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. In October 2021, Jersey City police found Diamond Davila's dead at 131 Woodlawn Ave, Suarez said. Remains found in a wooded area in Wayne are believed to be those of a 63-year-old woman who went missing a week ago, the township’s police chief said on Friday. Man's Body Recovered From Passaic River In Kearny
A man's body was recovered from the Passaic River Wednesday morning in Kearny. Firefighters responded to a portion of the river behind a shopping center at 175 Passaic Ave., around 10:50 a.m. The cause and manner of death were pending an examination by the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Kearny police said. Authorities ID Body Of Man Slain In Somerset County Woods
A 27-year-old man found dead in the woods near a Somerset County home was the victim of a homicide, authorities said. Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a home on Park Street in Franklin Township shortly before 6:40 p.m. April 29, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said in a joint press release. The body was identified as Duane S. Banks, who lived on the same street, Robertson said.
