Man Found Dead On Train Tracks ID'd
NJ Transit has identified the man who may have been electrocuted on train tracks in Newark on Saturday, July 29. Marcus Lee, a 53-year-old Newark resident, may have come in contact with the catenary and was not struck by a train, though officials said they are investigating. Lee's body was discovered at 11:25 a.m. on the tracks just west of Broad Street station in Newark, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.

A 60-year-old Lyndhurst man suffered severe injuries when he was hit by a train Friday night. The westbound NJ TRANSIT Main Line train struck the man just before the Kingsland Station shortly before 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4 in what responders said wasn't an accident. The man was alert and conscious despite head trauma and severe injuries to his lower extremities. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center. A man was found dead on NJ Transit tracks in Newark Saturday, July 29 may have been electrocuted, officials said. The discovery was made around 11:25 a.m., on the tracks just west of Broad Street station in Newark, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. Man, 29, Killed By NJ Transit Train
A 29-year-old Union County man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train earlier this week in Essex County, officials said. Evan Krupp was struck by the Morris & Essex Line train near the Summit station around 1:20 p.m. Monday, July 24, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. The train had left Hackettstown just before noon and was set to arrive in Hoboken at 2 p.m., Mulumba said. No injuries were reported to the 45 passengers. Man Fatally Stabbed At Plainfield Train Station: Prosecutors
A 45-year-old Plainfield man was fatally stabbed at the Plainfield Train Station on the afternoon of July 6, authorities said. At 2 p.m. police from Plainfield and NJ Transit responded to the train station and found Juquin Smith, suffering from stab wounds, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said. A Hoboken-bound NJ Transit train from Port Jervis struck and killed a pedestrian near the Paterson train station late Tuesday morning, the agency confirmed.
