Veteran NJ School Board Member Killed In Pickup Crash
A former longtime local school board member from Sussex County was killed when her pickup truck veered off the road and slammed into a tree Wednesday night, State Police confirmed. Tina Larsen, a 54-year-old mother of three from Newton, was headed west on Swartswood Road (Route 622) in Fredon when NJSP Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said the Dodge crashed off the right shoulder shortly before 9:30 p.m. March 6. White ribbons will be tied around Newton to honor a 17-year-old high school student who died in a car crash over the weekend. Alexis Faye, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene after the Mercedes Benz she was riding in veered off the road and overturned Saturday around 5:40 p.m. in Fredon, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
