Sheriff: Body Of Missing Mahwah Man Found
UPDATE (Saturday, Nov. 19): The search for a missing Mahwah man ended with the discovery of his body deep into one of the area's largest parks, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton confirmed. A hiker discovered the body of Hector Zamorano, 41, off the yellow trail at the Ramapo Valley Reservation around noontime Saturday, Nov. 19, said the sheriff, whose department is handling the investigation. A New York State driver told Fair Lawn police that someone else had planted the heroin and crack they found in her car in order to get her in trouble, authorities said. A driver from New York State was killed when he and his disabled vehicle were struck overnight on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. A driver not wearing a seatbelt led to the discovery of nearly 10 pounds of pot and the arrests of two men -- one from Bergen County, the other from New York State -- Haledon police said.
