A man was found dead on NJ Transit tracks in Newark Saturday, July 29 may have been electrocuted, officials said. The discovery was made around 11:25 a.m., on the tracks just west of Broad Street station in Newark, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. A woman was struck and killed by a commuter train Thursday morning in Wayne, authorities confirmed. The unidentified woman was struck shortly after 7:30 a.m. just west of Main Street and Dewey Avenue, NJ Transit Chief Communications Officer Nancy Snyder said. A girl was seriously injured after being struck by a train in Morris County Thursday evening, NJ Transit officials said. The girl was struck by the Montclair Boonton Line train 1079 west of Abbot Road in Montville just before 5:50 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. Person Struck By Train In Montclair Suspends Service On Montclair-Boonton Line
Service was suspended on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton line Monday evening after a person was struck by a train. The identified pedestrian was struck near the Clairmont Avenue crossing around 7 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The train had left Hoboken at 6:33 p.m. and was bound to arrive in Lake Hopatcong at 8:14 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. None of the 400 passengers or employees on the train were injured, officials said. Service had resumed around 8 p.m. with delays of up to an hour reported.

Man Struck By NJ Transit Train That Left From Hoboken
A man was taken to the hospital after being struck by an NJ Transit Montclair-Boonton line train in Dover over the weekend. The man was taken to Morristown Medical Center with unspecified injuries just after 6 p.m. Friday, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The train (1079) left from Hoboken at 5:12 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Mount Olive at 6:55 p.m. None of the 18 people on board were injured, the spokesperson said. Teen Hospitalized After Being Hit By Train In Montclair
A 15-year-old boy was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson early Wednesday after he was hit by a train in Montclair, an NJ Transit spokeswoman said. The boy was hit at the Jerome Place grade crossing around 12:30 a.m. The train, No. 6299 on the Montclair Boonton line, was headed to Montclair State University, the spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman did not have any information on the boy's condition. The train was the last one of the night and had just two crew members aboard, neither of whom was hurt.

Some NJ Transit Trains To NYC Will Be Diverted To Hoboken This Summer
NJ Transit Thursday announced changes to rush-hour service on the Montclair-Boonton, North Jersey Coast and Morris and Essex lines in order to accommodate repair work on two rail lines used by Amtrak at Penn Station New York. Some trains will also bypass Broad Street Station in Newark during peak periods. The changes begin June 17 and end Friday, Sept. 6. The work will be carried out on weekdays.
