16 Indicted In Crime Ring Targeting Asian-American Jewelers Across Mid-Atlantic: Feds An indictment of 16 members of a violent mid-Atlantic crime ring has been unsealed and the federal agencies are naming names.  Of the 16, eight of the alleged crime ring members were arrested in the morning on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, police in Fairfax County, Virginia announced later that day.  They were all arrested in connection to a violent crime spree that took place between Jan. 7, 2022, through Jan. 27, 2023.  The crime ring members were all from Maryland and the District of Columbia. First NJ Case Of West Nile Virus Detected In Camden County A Camden County resident who tested positive for West Nile virus is the first person in New Jersey to come down with the mosquito-borne illness this year, authorities said. There have been 69 cases in 16 states nationwide with the most in Arizona, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Man Extradited Back To NJ, Charged With Murdering Sister-In-Law, 9-Year-Old Niece Everoy Morrison, a 44-year-old Roselle resident, has been extradited back to New Jersey from Maryland to face charges of bludgeoning his 45-year-old sister-in-law and 9-year-old niece to death, authorities said. Morrison was charged with two counts of first degree murder back in May. In April, Roselle Police Officers were called to a home on the 200 block of West 7th Ave on a report of two missing people, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said. Three of them were all wearing blue one steamy day last summer when an infant suddenly stopped breathing in Cresskill.
