UPDATE: Two youths – one 14, the other 15 – were charged with attempted murder and other crimes after the younger one fired a gunshot at three teens in Moonachie, authorities said. The Little Ferry boy was on a bicycle with the older borough teen when he fired at the trio near the corner of Edstan Drive and Rooney Place shortly before 7:30 p.m. late last week, Moonachie Chief Richard Behrens said. A young boy has been charged with robbery and conspiracy for taking part in a violent robbery with two other youths, police in Bayonne said. The 13-year-old was arrested around 3:20 p.m. Sunday near 15th Street and Broadway after he was identified as a suspect. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, said she was grabbing some items from the back of her vehicle when the three juveniles surrounded her and demanded she give them personal items. Boy, 12, Lied About Violent Attack In Bayonne: Police
A young boy has been charged with making a false report to law enforcement for telling police that he’d been jumped and robbed following a basketball game, Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said Thursday. The boy, who was not identified because of his age, told police on May 1 that a few weeks earlier, on April 12, he played basketball with a group of other kids at Stephen R. Gregg Park. Teens Dump Drinks On Store Clerk In Bayonne Robbery, Police Say
Two juveniles from Jersey City attacked a convenience store clerk during a robbery Monday night, Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said in a statement. A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl entered the 7-Eleven at 765 Broadway around 9 p.m. and began placing merchandise in bags they'd brought in with them, the clerk later told police.
