The National Weather Service has released its latest snowfall predictions for New Jersey and parts of eastern Pennsylvania ahead of this weekend's storm.

No Snow, Little Rain, Some Winter's Cold Takes Us To Thanksgiving, Forecaster Says
Here's something to be thankful for: Although we’ll likely suffer the annual miles (and miles) of traffic backups, the weather in New Jersey doesn't threaten to be a problem heading into Thanksgiving.
Forecasts of a pre-holiday mix of rain, snow and gusty winds were at best premature, a respected area weatherman said Saturday. At this point, in fact, “getaway” day on Wednesday looks to be sunny, meteorologist Joe Cioffi said.
It starts with sunshine Saturday “pretty much from start to finish,” Cioffi said. Clouds roll in Sunday morning, but temperatures should move from the mid-40…
Hurricane Larry Should Make Waves, Blow Some Wind, But That's Most Likely It, Forecasters Say
Hurricane Larry is making waves -- big ones -- as he spins his way up the Atlantic, but it's still highly doubtful he'll come close enough to do any serious damage to the East Coast, the National Weather Service repeated Monday.
Doubling down on its predictions of the Labor Day weekend, the service said the worst we could see in our area are "significant swells" in the Atlantic.
These will be "likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions," according to its latest report.
Bermuda could take a hit, most likely on Thursday, but that wasn't a sure thing, forecasters said.

So Much For Snow: Expert Expects Rain, Rain And More Rain
Snow lovers “were likely looking out the window and counting the flakes" Monday morning, meteorologist Joe Cioffi. All melted quickly in most areas, except in higher elevations to the northwest, he said.
From here, most of New Jersey can expert a raw, cold day, with temperatures holding mostly in the mid-30s and, in some spots, the lower 40s, Cioffi said in his latest forecast.
Winter storm warnings remained in place for the Catskills and Berkshires, northeastern Pennsylvania, Vermont and New Hampshire.
Even in areas that get some snow, “it will be changing to rain, anyway,” Cioffi said.

Bet Against Serious Snow This Week, North Jersey Weather Expert Says
Snow this week? Maybe, weather expert Joe Cioffi says -- and if so, not much around here.
Monday is easily the week’s best weather day, Cioffi said, with highs in the low- to mid-50s in North Jersey and immediately to the north, and possibly as high as 60 degrees at the Jersey Shore.
"Enjoy the day because the rest of the week is pretty much shot," he said.
Snow could fall this week, he said, but not until Thursday, the earliest -- and not much of it.
Tuesday’s temperatures should be lower, due to clouds and showers, said Cioffi, who uses several weather models.

Snow Comin’ Our Way This Weekend? Don't Count On It, Area Meteorologist Says
North Jersey residents can keep the salt and snow shovels stashed awhile, a local weather expert said.
“I’m not overly impressed with the idea of a change from rain to snow” in and around the area this weekend, meteorologist Joe Cioffi said Thursday.
There’s no question, Cioffi said, that rain will plague the Friday morning commute – beginning what will be a dreary day.
It’ll return on and off through Saturday, with up to an inch of rainfall in many areas, he predicted.
However, he said, recent warmer temperatures, as well as the path of a low-pressure system that’s headed inland an…
