Robbers Attempted To Break Into Vehicles, Steal Vespa: Hoboken PD
Three people attempted to break into a garage and later steal a Vespa in Hoboken on Thursday, July 11, authorities said.
At 9:40 p.m., three people were seen entering a garage on mini-motorcycles, attempting to open the doors of multiple vehicles, a spokeswoman for the Hoboken police said. They were unsuccessful and left, the spokeswoman said.
Later that evening, the three suspects attempted to steal a Vespa near the 15th Street and Adams Street but the owner of the vehicle stopped them, authorities said. The Vespa sustained $2,000 in damages, authorities said.

Attempted Homicide: Juveniles Arrested In Hoboken Shooting, Police Say
Two juveniles were arrested and charged on Thursday, Jan. 25 for a November shooting in Hoboken, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 300 block of Jackson Street and found three shell casings, Hoboken police said. Soon after, Jersey City police found four men matching the description of the suspects and arrested all four, including the two juveniles, on weapons charges, police said.

Bergen County Man Resisted Arrest, Hurt Officer After Hoboken Fight: Police
A 24-year-old man from Bergen County was arrested for resisting arrest and injuring an officer after a fight broke out in Hoboken, police said.
Darian Veliu, of Elmwood Park, continued acting disorderly when police arrived at 1st and Washington Street for a fight around 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, Hoboken Police Detective Lt. Jonathan Mecka said.
He was ultimately arrested, which he resisted, Mecka said. After a brief struggle, Veliu was ultimately arrested, processed, and his charges were placed on a summons.
During the arrest, Officer Jessie Castellano suffered an ankle injury.
Long Island Man Surrenders As Second Attempted Murder Suspect In Hoboken Shooting
A Long Island man wanted as a second suspect in a summer shooting that left a teen boy hurt has surrendered to authorities in Hoboken.
Marcus Johnson, 22, of Patchogue, NY, turned himself in at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, Hoboken Police Detective Lt. Danilo Cabrera said.
A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest in September on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and various weapons offenses, in the June 6 shooting on 4th and Jackson Street, Cabrera said.

Police responded to 221 calls for service, 28 medical calls, 8 motor vehicle summonses and ordered three city ordinances during Hoboken's Santa Con, they said Tuesday.
The annual event returned with vaccine requirements on Saturday, but that didn't stop people from letting loose.

Richard Maldonado was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, defiant trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia, Hoboken Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said.
