Fleeing Driver Hits Officer, Arrested At NJ Costco: Police
A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said.
While officers were conducting a traffic stop on Indian Road, it was discovered the driver, Liam Harrigan, had an active NCIC Warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police said.
As officers attempted to take Harrigan into custody, he fled from them in his vehicle, police said. While fleeing, Harrigan struck a Denville police officer, leaving him with minor injuries, authorities said.

A fugitive who crashed a stolen car while being chased by Rochelle Park police ran across six lanes of traffic on Route 4 before he was captured in Paramus, authorities said.
Officer Hasan Shah was on Essex Street when he spotted the BMW 5 Series sedan, which had been reported stolen out of New York City, around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, Capt. James DePreta said.

An accused bank robber nicknamed "Crazy Mike" evaded police for nearly three months with the help of family members, according to officials.
Michael Gaboff, 36, of Millstone, was arrested in connection with the robbery of a Franklin Township bank on Aug. 22, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald in a release Monday, Dec. 12.
His parents, 66-year-old Alan Gaboff and 60-year-old Sharon Gaboff, and his brother, 23-year-old Jesse Gaboff, all of Millstone, were charged with hindering, McDonald noted.

Garfield police captured a Paterson native who they said assaulted a former girlfriend, damaged her property and then fled after she kicked him in the groin.
Officers Daniel Drazek and Isaac Perez found Shakar Bragg, 33, near the corner of Lanza Avenue and Davision Street following last week's incident, Capt. Richard Uram said.
Bragg, who was out of breath and sweating, gave them a fake name and was arrested, Uram said.

Paramus police found two New York City men with a pair of handguns, 100 bundles of heroin and $15,000 in drug cash during an overnight Route 4 traffic stop, authorities said.
The driver was unable to maintain a single lane while driving a 2014 Acura sedan on the eastbound highway at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.
