The search for a 40-year-old man who set fire to a neighbor's home after leaving behind a suicide note ended in his arrest over the weekend in Wayne, police said.
Hector Lobo has been charged on a warrant with aggravated arson, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft, and criminal mischief early Saturday, July 6, Wayne Police Chief Jack McNiff said.

A 20-year-old man from Essex County was arrested with a stolen car and weapons, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 10:11 p.m., Essex County Sheriff’s Officers arrested Basir North, of Orange, for resisting arrest by flight, unlawful possession of a handgun, and receiving stolen property among other charges.
While stopped at a red light at the intersection of Central Avenue and South Harrison Street, in East Orange, an Essex County Sheriff’s Officer observed a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle crash into another vehicle, authorities said.

A couple from West Virginia had a handgun with a high-capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets when they were stopped in Morris County, authorities said.
Brian Moats, 29, and Alexis King, 38 — both of Morgantown, West Virginia — were stopped on West Mill Road in Washington Township around 1 a.m. on Sept. 30, Lt. Mark Niemynski said.
Moats, the passenger, initially gave police a fake name during questioning, prompting a search of the vehicle, which turned up a handgun with a high-capacity magazine, hollow-point bullets, a THC cartridge and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

Violent Hackensack Home Invaders Rob Couple Of $20,000 Watch, Jewelry While Child, 3, Sleeps
Two home invaders, one armed with a handgun, smashed their way into a Hackensack apartment overnight Thursday and robbed a couple of $53,000 worth of jewelry while their 3-year-old daughter slept in another room, authorities said.
The robbers broke the door frame, a lock and glass when they crashed into the Tracy Place apartment around midnight, Capt. Darrin DeWitt said.
One of them pointed a revolver at a female tenant’s head, ordering her to sit in a chair, DeWitt said.
