ICE Moves To Seize Accused Molester In Hackensack Family Sleepover
ICE agents placed a detainer on an Ecuadorian national living in Hackensack who local authorities said felt up a youngster during a sleepover at a family member’s home. Diego G. Buri-Mora, 35, was seized on Tuesday, May 14 by Hackensack police, who notified members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. A 71-year-old passenger from Bergenfield was jailed after New Milford police said she slashed an Uber driver with a box cutter. The 53-year-old driver from Newark picked up Linda Buckner in Hackensack and was driving her home when she became irate for some reason and slashed his face, New Milford Police Capt. Exterior Fire Enters Hasbrouck Heights Home
Firefighters quickly doused a blaze that found its way inside a Hasbrouck Heights home. Flames climbed the side and extended into the basement and attic of the three-story wood-frame home on Franklin Avenue between Oak Grove Avenue and Boulevard at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, responders said. A Rite Aid is Hackensack is closing. Rite Aid announced the location at 219 Essex St. is set to shutter. The pharmacy closing on Thursday, May 16 and the front end of the store closing on Sunday, June 16, a spokesperson tells Daily Voice. Bergen Man Charged With 2010 Pre-Teen Sex Assault
A Midland Park man was charged with sexually assaulting a pre-teen in Wyckoff in 2010. Donato Avolio, now 35, was in his early 20s when he sexually assaulted the youngster, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Wyckoff police notified his Special Victims Unit of the allegation on March 27, Musella said.
