A 57-year-old Essex County woman was one of two people killed in a plane crash in Maine on Thursday, July 25, authorities said. Christina Chung, a Livingston resident, was identified as one of the victims after a small plane that took off from Morristown Municipal Airport before crashing and bursting into flames on the approach to Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport in Maine around 12:25 p.m., the Maine Department of Public Safety said. Jackknifed Tractor Trailer Snarls Traffic On Route 78
Multiple lanes were closed following a fuel spill and a jackknifed tractor trailer on Route 78 in Hunterdon County Friday, Jan. 19. It happened in the eastbound lanes, east of Exit 12 in Union Township by Perryville Rd., the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. Two left lanes of three lanes are closed, NJ DOT said. Banana Load Shifts, Tractor-Trailer Tips Exiting Route 80
A tractor-trailer driver was hospitalized after his rig tipped coming off Route 80 with a load of bananas, responders said. The driver climbed out of his cab after the rig landed on its side at the Green Street exit off the westbound highway in Hackensack shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered serious. Hackensack firefighters cleaned up a minor fuel spill.
