Jersey City Man, 71, Fatally Struck 85-Year-Old, Left Scene: Prosecutors A 71-year-old Jersey City resident was arrested on Friday, Jan. 26 and charged with fatally striking an 85-year-old man with his vehicle and leaving the scene last October, authorities said. On Friday, Oct. 20, Jersey City police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck near Fairview Avenue and Monticello Avenue and found Mumtaz Chaudhry, a Jersey City resident, at Fairmount Avenue and Summit Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.. Update: One Dead In Jersey City Crash, Two Seriously Injured The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Jersey City police are conducting an investigation of a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles in Jersey City Friday.  The prosecutor's office said one man is dead and two other people suffered serious injuries. The names of the victims were not released.  The deceased man was identified later Friday as a 35-year-old Jersey City resident. Investigators say he was one of two occupants of a Nissan Xterra that was travelling south near JFK Boulevard and Fairmount Avenue around 4:20 a.m. when it collided head-on with another vehicle.  T…
