FDA Bans Red No. 3 Due To Cancer Concerns About Artificial Coloring In Many Foods The Food and Drug Administration has officially banned Red No. 3, a synthetic dye that gives certain foods their vivid cherry-red hue, due to cancer concerns in lab animals. The FDA revoked the authorization for the coloring's use in food products, oral drugs, and dietary supplements, the agency said in a news release on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Manufacturers have until Friday, Jan. 15, 2027, to remove Red Dye 3 from food products and Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2028, for drugs. Body Of Missing EU Delegate From Bethesda Found Two Months After Disappearance The body of Sibylle Zitko, a missing EU delegate from Bethesda who was reported missing in January, has been found.  Zitko, 54, went missing from the Lock 7 area of the C&O Canal around 6 a.m. on Jan. 6, the US Park Police originally reported.  Her body was located after someone reported finding a woman’s body in the area of Lock 5 of the park on Friday, March 8, Bethesda Magazine reports. Park Police officially cancelled the search for Zitko on Friday, March 18 after the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified the body as Zitko's.  pic.twitter.com/LYxW…
