Man Slashed With Samurai Sword In Jersey City: Authorities A 37-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged with slashing another man with a samurai sword on Thursday, Sept. 21. authorities said. At 4:45 p.m., police responded to 11 Van Nostrand Avenue and discovered Darryl Colbourne had used the samurai sword to slash a 24-year-old in the right hand, left chest, left ear and left side of his head, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.
