Secaucus PD: Burglar Injures Resident During Break-In, Found Hiding By K9 Officer In Warehouse
A man who injured a Secaucus resident during a burglary was found hiding in a nearby warehouse by a police K9, authorities said.
George Maztek, 29, had forced his way into a woman's County Avenue apartment, stole an item then fled around 2:40 p.m. June 3, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
During the incident, Maztek pushed the resident into a wall causing minor injuries to her hand and arm, police said.
Maztek fled the apartment complex toward Windsor Drive, where he broke into the second floor and was located in a darkened, second-floor office by Police K9 Strobe, Miller said.

Jersey City Woman, 24, Nabbed In Pair Of Hit-Run Crashes, Secaucus Police Say
A 24-year-old Jersey City woman was charged in a pair of hit-and-run crashes that occurred last week in Secaucus, authorities said Wednesday.
Amanda Hernandez, 24, was arrested on Jan. 5 -- two days after the crashes -- and slapped with multiple charges including assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident and more.
Police were called to the intersection of Paterson Plank Road and County Avenue for a crash, where one of the vehicles fled the scene and the driver of the other suffered minor injuries on Jan. 3, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Secaucus PD: Fairview Woman, 21, Busted With Ecstasy In Motor Vehicle Stop
A Fairview driver had ecstasy and her teenage passenger had a warrant for his arrest when police in Secaucus stopped her on motor vehicle violations, authorities said.
Vanessa Benavidez, 21, was charged with resisting arrested after being stopped on County Avenue around 12 a.m. on Aug. 11, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
Her passenger, a 17-year-old boy from North Bergen, had a $100 warrant out of Jersey City, Miller said. The teen was able to post bail before authorities released him to a parent, according to Miller.
