Three teens were in police custody with another suspect at large after going on a car burglary spree then leading a police pursuit across Hudson County in a sedan stolen out of Philadelphia, authorities said. A Secaucus, NJ resident called police to report four individuals burglarized his family's car on Pandolfi Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 20, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Hoboken PD: Shoplifter Who Injured Officers Charged With Terroristic Threats, Resisting Arrest
A Hoboken man who stole several bags of shrimp and Tide products from a local ACME market injured officers trying to arrest him later that day, authorities said. Police responded to the ACME Supermarket on Clinton Street around 12:20 p.m. Dec. 5, where an employee told police that a man later identified as Ricardo Burgos had stolen several items throughout the day, Hoboken Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said. Police stopped Burgos in the back of the store, where he was found with unpaid Tide products, authorities said. 'Bigger, Better' Buses, New Stops Coming To NJ Transit's Busiest Bus Route
NJ Transit is rolling out a series of improvements its busiest bus route. Already one of the busiest NJ Transit lines in the state, Hoboken's line No. 126 will be getting new buses along with new and relocated stops, the company said Tuesday. The new buses and stops coming to line No. 126 -- one of the busiest NJ Transit bus routes in the state -- are expected to reduce wait times and promote social distancing on board, according to NJ Transit President and CEO Kevin Corbett. Mother, Infant Freed From Overturned SUV Steps From Hoboken Firehouse
Hoboken firefighters freed a mother and her infant child after their SUV rolled and hit two parked vehicles up the street from a firehouse Saturday afternoon. Police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 8th Street crash outside Hoboken High School just off Clinton Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. Firefighters ran the 100 or so feet from their corner firehouse. 2 Kids Thrown From Strollers Among 6 Hospitalized In Hoboken Crash
Two children were thrown from their strollers and two adults were struck after and a pair of vehicles collided, sending one onto the sidewalk hitting the four pedestrians Wednesday in Hoboken, authorities said. An 18-month-old and 2-year-old, a boy and a girl, were tossed from their strollers at the intersection of Clinton and 3rd streets after an SUV bent around a metal pole and hit the two women pushing them around 2:30 p.m., ABC7 reports.
