Smoky Blaze Ravages Hunterdon County Home
Authorities are investigating the cause of a massive fire that ripped through a Hunterdon County home on Monday, Aug. 22. The Lebanon Township Fire Department responded to the blaze on Elk Ridge Road with several neighboring squads around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully engulfed and immediately began working to douse the blaze, LTFD said. Firefighters then focused on extinguishing the remaining hot spots throughout the night, the department said. No injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation. Fiery Double Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Massive Delays On Route 78 [

Two tractor-trailers crashed and burst into flames Thursday morning, drawing emergency departments from several surrounding towns and causing major delays on Route 78, authorities said. The trailers collided and went up in flames in the eastbound lanes near milepost 11 before exit 11 in Bethlehem Township around 4:30 a.m., according to the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Department. Clinton Firefighter Timothy Hagan Dies, 21
Town of Clinton firefighter Timothy Hagan died on Aug. 24. He was 21 years old. Hagan worked as a member of the Clinton Fire Department with his brother, Ben, after rising through the department’s Junior Firefighter program. He was known as an excellent firefighter and a friend to all. “Tim was liked by all and always greeted everyone with his infectious smile,” reads a release posted to the department’s Facebook page. “Rest easy, Tim, we'll take it from here.” Check back for Hagan’s funeral arrangements.
