Retired NJ Police Chief Who Lied To FBI In Assault On Black Suspect Gets 28 Months In Fed Pen
A retired South Jersey police chief whose racist rants made international headlines must spend the next 28 months in federal prison for lying to the FBI about assaulting a black suspect. Frank M. Nucera Jr., 64, of Bordentown was convicted in October 2019 of making false statements to FBI agents who were interviewing him about what was the alleged violation of the 18-year-old suspect’s civil rights during an arrest. Amazon Announces 5 New NJ Delivery Sites
More amazing news on the Amazon jobs front. The giant internet retail outlet announced five new future delivery sites as it opened its Linden delivery station in Union County. Two new delivery sites will be in Middlesex County, two are targeted for Burlington County and one is planned in Mercer County, Amazon said in a press statement. State Releases Videos Of NJ Police Pursuit Ending In Fatal Crash
Videos of a brief police pursuit that ended when a 23-year-old Trenton man crashed his sedan into woods off a highway were released Friday by authorities following his death. A Bordentown police officer began following the Nissan Maxima after Keron Roundtree, 23, brake abruptly on Route 206 shortly before 9 p.m. last Oct. 27, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said. Body Of Missing Fisherman From Turkey Who Fell Off Kayak Found On Jersey Shore Riverbank
Authorities in Monmouth County on Monday recovered the body of a man who went missing after falling out of a kayak last week. Nedim Aksoy, 50, of Bordentown was one of two men who fell out of kayaks while fishing near the Oceanic Bridge in Rumson around 11 p.m. Thursday, June 4, the U.S. Coast Guard said. While one of the men was wearing a life jacket and able to swim safely to the shore, Aksoy was not wearing one and instead vanished underwater, authorities said.
