A Paramus police officer chased down two separate suspects who fled the Bergen Towne Center, authorities said. Two men and a woman all bolted from the Nordstrom Rack, then ran in different directions, after stealing Burberry and Givenchy apparel and a Reaction wristwatch worth nearly $667 combined, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. Officer Kevin Grady, who was among the responders, ran after Yerbinson Zapata-Zus as he fled east on Route 4 near Forest Avenue, the chief said. A Lodi driver who hit two parked cars, knocking one onto its side, was taken into custody after responding officers discovered that she had outstanding warrants. Kimberly Toro, 36, was headed south on South Main Street in Lodi when her 2011 Dodge Charger hit the other vehicles in front of the Pizza Zone restaurant and across from the Crescent Heights condominium development, at 9:42 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11. A driver was led away in handcuffs following a head-on Thanksgiving Eve crash in Fair Lawn. Members of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps took two occupants to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's Wayne facility after the Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV collided at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Wagaraw Road around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22. It was literally a hit-and-run. A driver whose sedan slammed into a garden apartment complex in Fair Lawn late Saturday fled the scene on foot and was later seized in Waldwick, responders said. The Toyota Camry was headed south on Route 208 when the driver apparently tried to avoid another vehicle that had crashed around 11 p.m. Aug. 26, witnesses said.
