Support is surging for a New Jersey family whose 3-month-old baby was killed by the family dog. Daymon Jair Balbuena was mauled by the dog at his home on Mereline Avenue in Avenel around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 9, according to a GoFundMe campaign, along with Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner. Boston Market stores across New Jersey owe its workers thousands of dollars in back wages, and the state's labor department is taking action. The NJDOL issued 27 stop-work orders to Boston Market locations throughout the state on Monday, Aug. 14 saying the rotisserie chicken franchise owes more than $600,000 in back wages to 314 employees. A 58-year-old man died after coming in contact with power lines in a workplace accident Tuesday, July 11 in Monmouth County, authorities said. Kevin McAdorey was working near 1040 Route 35 on a motorized scissor lift when the lift came in contact with power lines, causing McAdorey to fall 20 feet to the ground around 12:30 p.m., Middletown Police Chief of Police R. A former Hudson County sheriff’s officer admitted defrauding a bank to duck $98,000 in mortgage payments on a Jersey Shore home, federal authorities said. Target To Replace These Shuttered NJ Kmarts
Another Kmart store has closed its doors leaving just two left in all of New Jersey. The Kearny store on Passaic Avenue closed on May 2, NJ Advance Media reports. The storefront will be replaced by a Target store, according to Target's list of upcoming locations. Target will also be replacing the Kmart that closed in Wall on Route 35, and the one in Somers Point on 250 New Road.
