$1 Billion+ Contract Awarded To Replace AirTrain System At Newark Airport
The Port Authority announce it had awarded a $1.184 billion design-build contract for a new elevated rail structure and three new stations to replace the existing AirTrain system at Newark Liberty International Airport. The contract was awarded to Tutor Perini/O&G. It's Newark Airport like you've never seen it before. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has revealed plans to upgrade the airport with hopes of transforming it into a "world-class getaway" with modernized terminals. Port Authority May Raise Tolls On GWB, Other Bridges And Tunnels: Report
The Port Authority is considering raising tolls on the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln Tunnel and other crossings into New York by $1, The New York Times reported Monday. Tolls for the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, the Outerbridge and the Goethals Bridge are all $10.50 off-peak, and $12.50 during peak times.
