Oscar Castaneda last week was convicted of aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats and simple assault.
Castaneda began sexually assaulting one of the victims in 2004, when she was six years old. The abuse continued until she was 11.
A second victim was assaulted from 2013 to 2018. The assaults began when she was five years old and continued until she was 10.
Castaneda faces up to 20 years in prison for the assaults on the older girl. He faces life for the assaults on the second girl because they took place after passage of the Jessica Lunsford Act. which carries a mandatory 25-year minimum sentence.
His sentencing is scheduled for January.
