Double Shooting Leaves 21-Year-Old Dead In Jersey City

A 21-year-old man died and a 22-year-old man was injured in a Jersey City shooting Tuesday night, authorities said.

Rodney Wallace was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound in his chest after being shot around 11 p.m. near 162 Wilkinson Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

He was pronounced dead at approximately 11:45 p.m.

A second victim, a 22-year-old man, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Jersey City Medical Center.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.
