Hoboken Police Officer Dies Hoboken Police Officer Dies
Hoboken Officer Frank Francolino Dies The Hoboken Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own. Officer Frank Francolino died at home while off-duty on Saturday, Dec. 28, the department said on X.  "We ask all to keep the Francolino family in your thoughts, prayers & hearts. Please respect their privacy as they mourn this unimaginable loss," the statement reads. A cause of death was not announced.  Records show Frankolino joined the force in 2008.

Hoboken PD Seeks Help ID'ing 'Persons Of Interest' In Aborted Carjacking Hoboken police are asking the public for help identifying two people who may -- or may not -- have been directly involved in a botched carjacking nearly two months ago. The victim’s 2020 Range Rover was unlocked and running in the 100 block of River Street shortly before 3:30 p.m. March 27, police said. Seeing someone get into the driver’s seat, the victim jumped into the passenger seat, tussled with the intruder and turned off the engine, they said.
