Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Williamstown's Brett C. Abel, Avid Hunter, Fisherman, 39 Brett C. Abel, of Williamstown, died on July 13, according to an obituary published by Farnelli Funeral Home. He was 39 years old. Brett was a member of the Glaziers Local Union 252, his obituary said. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed getting tattoos, his obit said. He also was a fan of the Eagles, NASCAR and the Phillies.  "Brett was a dog lover and treasured all of his dogs," his obit said. Joan Franklin Polanco, 37, was detained by NYPD hours after the Sunday, July 21 stabbing, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan.
