Philly Diesel Jump Adds Pressure To Delivery, Freight Fleets
Pennsylvania’s diesel average is now within a penny of its all-time record, a surge that is putting new pressure on the truckers who keep the state’s stores, warehouses and worksites supplied. The average price for a gallon of diesel in Pennsylvania reached $6.323 on Sunday, Sept. 13, according to AAA — up nearly 22 cents in a week, 64 cents in a month, and $2.34 from the same day last year. County Line Road Closed After Crash In Philly Suburb
A busy roadway was closed in both directions Sunday night, Sept. 13, after a vehicle collision, officials said. County Line Road was shut down between Huntingdon Pike and Buck Road in Huntingdon Valley as of about 7:58 p.m., according to a Montgomery County emergency alert. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. No information about injuries, the vehicles involved, or when the road would reopen was immediately released.

A 48-year-old New York man has been charged with murder six weeks after a woman was found stabbed to death inside her home, State Police said. Tucker J. Taylor, 48, of Ausable Forks, New York, was arrested Sunday, Sept. 13, in connection with the murder of Patricia “Pattie” Lawrence, 54, in the Essex County town of Jay, according to New York State Police.
