Reckless Driver Drove Drunk On Route 46: Mount Olive Police
A 64-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 46 in Budd Lake, authorities announced Friday, Aug. 21.
At 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, officers observed a black Hyundai traveling east on Route 46 below the speed limit and failing to maintain its lane of travel, Mount Olive police said.

Lightning Strike Causes 2-Alarm Fire In NJ City: Authorities
A two-alarm fire displaced nine people in Summit on Thursday, Aug. 20, authorities said.
At 6:21 p.m., firefighters responded to a lightning strike at a multiapartment home on Kent Place Boulevard, the City of Summit said in a release. Crews were met with an active fire in the attic and a second alarm was tolled, bringing additional units to the scene, authorities said.
After conducting searches of all floors within the home, nine residents, three cats, and one dog were evacuated. The fire was declared under control at 7:16, authorities said.

A 49-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
At 1:27 a.m., on Sunday, Aug. 14, officers pulled over a vehicle on Route 10 West after observing a moving violation, Denville police said.
