A Sussex County man stopped for a Route 206 traffic violation was later arrested for having 13 credit cards belonging to five different people, authorities said.
Dominick J. Fernandez was charged with credit card theft, possession of a prescription drug, open container of alcohol, fictitious registration, and several other motor vehicle offenses, Byram Township Police said in a release on Friday, Oct. 28.
Police stopped Fernandez for failing to keep right on Route 206 in Byram on Monday, Oct. 17, they said.

Three accused dealers were arrested and charged after a Sussex County traffic stop led to the discovery of heroin and crack cocaine, authorities said.
Officers stopped a car that was speeding in the left lane of Route 26 in Byram and met with the driver, William Connolly, of Morristown, on Saturday, August 6, police said.
While speaking with Connolly, officers learned that he had a glass crack cocaine pipe in his pocket, as well as other drug paraphernalia, police said.

A Sussex County man driving a stolen vehicle was found with a loaded handgun during a traffic stop, authorities charged.
Jose M. Colon, of Hamburg, was charged with second-degree eluding, second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, and several other related indictable offenses following the traffic stop on Monday, May 30, Franklin Borough Police said in a release on Wednesday, July 6.
Colon, 19, was being sought by police in Hamburg and Hardyston after allegedly stealing a second vehicle within the span of eight hours, the release said.

A Sussex County man was under the influence during a head-on crash that injured both drivers and a young child on Rt. 206, authorities said.
Kyle D. Smith, of Newton, crashed head-on into another car on Route 206 near Whitehall Hill Road on Feb. 12, Byram Township Police said.
