A 15-year-old girl who lives at the Jersey Shore has died months after being diagnosed with cancer. Olivia "Livi" McConaghy, of Manahawkin, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 4, according to her obituary on the Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home website. A GoFundMe launched by Tracey Slattery in June for Livi's family around the time of her diagnosis had raised $69,000 as of press time. A city in Monmouth County said it's renewing an effort to crack down on unauthorized “pop-up” parties. The mayor and public safety director of Long Branch issued a joint statement on Tuesday, June 4 about a "significant police presence" over the upcoming weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting two rounds of thunderstorms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 23. A dead whale has washed up along the Jersey Shore for the first time in 2024, according to a marine animal rehabilitation center. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (MMSC) received a report about a humpback whale found in the surf near 51st Street in Long Beach at around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 11. AMP'D Fitness in Belmar is collecting money to support AmyMarie DeLuca, a woman who joined the gym at the end of 2023. Man, Woman Found Dead In NJ
A man and woman were found dead on the Jersey Shore earlier this week. The bodies were found Tuesday morning, March 19 in Keyport, a spokesperson from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
