Iconic Waldorf Astoria To Reopen After Years-Long Makeover: Here’s When An iconic New York hotel will soon be reopening after a years-long renovation. The Waldorf Astoria is on track to be up and running in the spring. It has been closed for renovation since February 2017. The hotel's online reservation system went live last week. An announcement on its website states, "We are opening Spring 2025 and are now accepting reservations for stays and groups beginning September 2025." Nicholas Reed, 34, Worked As Accountant, Chef Nicholas Matthew Reed, 34, of Asbury Park, died Thursday in Trenton.  He worked as an accountant as well as a chef, his obituary says.  He was born in Red Bank in 1987 and grew up in Marlboro.  He earned a Master's Degree in Business from Rutgers University. In addition to his work as an accountant, he was a chef for Mogo. Nicholas enjoyed music, history, soccer, swimming, walking and spending time with friends and family.
