UPDATE (March 27): A Hoboken man was charged with murder and aggravated assault in a triple shooting in Jersey City earlier this month. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday, March 27, that Joseph Del Valle, 36, was arrested by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit the day before. A New Jersey man allegedly beat his mom to death after she tried to stop him from slicing a tattoo off of his leg, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. Gloucester Township police were called to the Doran family's Blackwood home around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, as Daily Voice previously reported. An Atlantic City man was shot and killed downtown about two blocks from the boardwalk in the city's Ducktown section, authorities said. City police responded to a 911 call about a shooting on South Florida Avenue at around 5:58 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29. A 45-year-old man from Trenton was found fatally wounded on a porch, authorities said. No arrests had been made, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. Shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb 28, Trenton police responded to a shooting in progress at 428 Ardmore Ave. Police found an unresponsive male victim on the porch suffering from a gunshot wound, Onofri said. Investigators are looking for your help in solving the cold case of a woman found dead in Atlantic County more than 35 years ago. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 13 that its major crimes unit is looking for the relatives and friends of James “Crab Daddy” Whiting Jr. He was born in 1916 and died in 2011.
