$8.5M Project Will Upgrade Water Infrastructure In Central Jersey Borough
A Monmouth County borough will get $8.5 million in upgrades to its water systems, officials said. New Jersey American Water will replace about 4,900 feet of water main in Tinton Falls, the company said in a news release on Tuesday, July 9. The project will upgrade the 30-inch transmission main installed as old as the 1970s with a new 30-inch ductile iron main. Central Jersey technical support manager and devoted father Matthew James Zorner died at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia following a brief illness on Friday, May 5. He was 39. Born in Hackensack, Matthew grew up in Wood Ridge and Tinton Falls, where he graduated from Monmouth Regional High School in 2000, his obituary says. : Responders Rescue Utility Worker Who Fell 10 Feet Into Tinton Falls Work Space
Responders in Monmouth County used a stokes basket to rescue an injured utility worker who fell 10 feet into a work space last week. The worker fell into a work space near Shafto and Wayside roads in Tinton Falls the morning of June 9, bringing several fire companies to the scene. Assisted by Tinton Falls EMS, the Neptune Township Special Operations Rescue team and members of the Asbury Park Fire Department packed the worker into a stokes basket and pulled him to safety using a rope system.
