Failed Brakes Send School Bus Carrying Students Into Edison Home: Police
Two students suffered minor injuries after a school bus crashed into a home in Edison, authorities said.
The brakes apparently failed on the bus carrying about 30 John Adams Middle School students at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18,, Police Chief Thomas Bryan said.
The driver, who was not hurt, did a great job maneuvering around three other houses by crossing through a field, the chief said.
No one was injured in the home on Rahway Roa which was occupied by three clearing crew workers, Bryan said.
The house has been condemned, he said.
"It could have been a lot worse," Bryan said.
