A 43-year-old Little Egg Harbor Township resident was recently arrested and charged with using an automotive repair shop to store and deal methamphetamine, authorities said. Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. The man remains hospitalized with multiple injuries, Santiago said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with law enforcement officers, Santiago said.

A head-on crash involving three vehicles early Saturday morning, Dec. 14, closed Route 9 and sent two people to the hospital, police in Marlboro said. John Martin of Long Branch was killed in the crash, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said on Tuesday, Dec. 3. He was 55 years old.
