South Jersey Native Vincent Russo Jr. Dies, 28: 'To Know Him Was To Love Him'
Tributes are pouring in for beloved South Jersey native Vincent M. Russo Jr., who died Friday, Dec. 1, aged 28.
Vincent, of Deptford, had a “way of lighting up every room he walked into,” his obituary says. He loved spending time with his family and friends, driving the boat, and snacking on sunflower seeds.
Described as a snowbird, Vincent made frequent trips to Miami to escape the frigid temperatures of the north.
Above all, he leaves a legacy of compassion, empathy, and kindness for everyone he met.

Arrest Made In Miami Killing Of Man Week Before NJ Wedding
An arrest has been made in last February's Miami killing of a 39-year-old man just a week before he was set to get married in Lakewood, NBC Miami reports.
Hershy Schwartz was found shot dead in North Miami Beach on Feb. 19 in a strong-arm robbery, police said.
A suspect in the killing, Louis Antuwn Redmon, 23, was arrested Wednesday, May 17 by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, NBC said.
Redmon was being held in connection with Schwartz's death on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, armed carjacking, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, records show.

Foul weather in Florida was blamed for wrecking spring break travel plans for many New Jersey high school students, as originally reported by NJ Advance Media.
FlightAware, a website that tracks flights, noted major disruptions at several Florida airports, including in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Orlando, as well as in Baltimore and New York, among others.

East Coast Ring Stole High-End GPS Devices From Boatyards In NJ, Elsewhere, State Police Charge
An ex-con with a previous history of boat-related thefts was part of a Miami-based ring that stole GPS systems from boatyards along the East Coast, including more than $300,000 worth in New Jersey, authorities said.
Mizael Alfonso, 47, and co-defendant Marie Frometa Rodriguez, 41, were captured at a motel in Plymouth, MA, New Jersey State Police said.
A third defendant, Manuel Barbosa Mendiluza, 58, was arrested by Miami police, while a fourth, Ciro Perez Martinez, 29, was nabbed by the Miami-Dade Marine Theft Task Force.

Son Of Bergen County Executive Charged With Impersonating Police Officer In Florida
The son of Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer on Route 95 in Florida, authorities said.
James J. Tedesco IV, 43, of Nanuet had an NYPD jacket and DEA hat with him, as well as two AR-15 rifles, 1,139 rounds of ammo and a bag loaded with gas mask equipment and suits, when he was stopped on the southbound interstate in Vero Beach shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.
