A 20-year-old Carteret man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Jan. 22 with the attempted murder of his 6-week old infant, authorities said. Ezekiel Crespo, the baby's dad, was with the infant when he suffered facial and head injuries, Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Theodore Nycz said. Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 77-year-old Howell Township man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7, authorities said. At 4:51 a.m., Howell Township police responded to Route 9 and Strickland Road after a driver, who was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 9, collided with the man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
