Update: Hudson Drowning Victim, 21, At Mahwah Lake Didn't Know How To Swim
A Hudson County man who drowned despite an intense effort by rescuers to save him at a closed swimming lake at Darlington County Park in Mahwah didn't know how to swim, friends and loved ones said.
Loved ones, neighbors and others have been trying to comfort the family of Kevin Acevedo at the 51st Street apartment in Weehawken where he'd lived his entire life.
Kevin had just turned 21 two weeks ago, they said.

A winning Powerball ticket good for $50,000 was sold in Hudson County.
The ticket from Saturday's drawing wins the third-tier prize.
The ticket was sold at Otaiko Hibachi Sushi Lounge, on Lefante Way in Bayonne.
The winning numbers were 35, 36, 47, 61, and 63. The Red Power Ball number was 03.

Jersey Shore Bookie Admits Running Own ‘Pick Six’ Lottery, Cash Prizes Topped $100,000
A Jersey Shore bookmaker admitted in federal court on Tuesday that he operated his own lottery game in Hudson County using the numbers from the New Jersey Lottery Pick Six to award winners.
Up to 8,000 participants at a time selected six numbers from 1 to 49 at $20 a pop, Edward O’Neill, 54, told a U.S. District Court judge in Newark.
The sole winner of the illegal lottery was whoever matched all six numbers selected in the official Pick Six drawing.
Prizes often exceeded $100,000, said O’Neill, of Beachwood, who skimmed a 10% vig off the total bets.

Winners: Jersey Cash 5 Lottery Players Split $276K
A trio of lucky Jersey Cash 5 lottery players matched all five numbers drawn on Friday, state officials said.
Each winning ticket is worth $91,929.
The winning numbers were: 06, 07, 08, 11, and 19 and the XTRA number was: 02.
Three retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold.
Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
Camden County: Jersey Bagel & Food Mart, 609 Sicklerville Rd., Sicklerville;
