An Atlantic County woman was cited after her SUV caused a chain-reaction crash and hit the back of a school bus in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police said officers responded to a crash involving a school bus westbound on the Black Horse Pike. The five-vehicle wreck happened in the West Atlantic City section of the township at around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20. NJ Turnpike Crash Victims Struck By Another Vehicle While Waiting For Help
A chain-reaction crash on the New Jersey Turnpike before dawn on Memorial Day sent several people to the hospital, authorities confirmed. It began with a rollover crash on the northbound western spur at mile marker south of Exit 16W in Lyndhurst, which NJ State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said was reported at 1:42 a.m. May 29. A back-seat passenger died following a chain-reaction crash on Route 287, New Jersey State Police said. The elderly victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern following the crash on the northbound highway in Mahwah shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, responders said.She succumbed to her injuries, NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota said. Firefighters extricated the driver of a Lincoln SUV following a chain-reaction crash involving a tractor-trailer on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County. A 57-year-old Short Hills Tesla driver died in a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer on Route 24 in Summit Thursday, May 19, authorities said. David M. Baum was traveling in the right lane on the eastbound side of the highway when he was struck by a Volvo tractor trailer, causing a chain-reaction crash near milepost 9 just after 2 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. Four vehicles all had to be towed after a chain-reaction crash Thursday off Route 17 in Ramsey. No serious injuries were reported in the incident at the intersection of East Crescent Avenue and Lake Street. Ramsey police, firefighters, EMS and Ramsey Rescue all responded.
