A family was rallying for support after a former Edison firefighter died, according to a fundraising campaign. Ray Tibok, 58, died suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 8, a GoFundMe page said. He had served as a firefighter for the Edison Township Fire Department for 30 years before retiring in May 2022. The GoFundMe had raised more than $1,400 from at least 11 donations as of Thursday, Aug. 22. School Bus Involved In Three-Vehicle Crash On Jersey Shore, Minor Injuries Reported
A school bus and two other vehicles crashed in Neptune Township, officials said. The crash happened on Route 33 East near the intersection with Jumping Brook Road, the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management said in a Facebook post at 8:46 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9. No children were on the bus during the crash. Neptune paramedics responded to the scene to treat people for minor injuries. Authorities have identified the Freehold man who was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle in Howell Township. Aaron Aponte, 28, died from his injuries in the crash on Tuesday, July 9, a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. A car smashed through the front of a building in Mercer County, authorities said. On Sunday, June 2, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Lawrence Township Police Department received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting that a vehicle had crashed into the building of Worldwide Floor Covering at 2750 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville.
