DC Police Officer Dies Of Gunshot Wound Sustained At Police Station
A Washington, DC, police officer has died after suffering a gunshot wound at a local police station, the department confirmed.
The officer, who was not identified, was critically wounded at the Metropolitan Police Department's Second District station on the 3300 block of Idaho Avenue NW just after 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, an MPD spokesperson tells Daily Voice. The officer was taken to a hospital, where he died.
"Nothing currently indicates that another party was involved," the spokesperson said.

Alexis Flores, who spent more than 25 years as a fugitive, was captured in Lepaera, Honduras, on Feb. 11 by the FBI's Transnational Anti-Gang Task Force and Honduran authorities, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. 114K Car Seats Recalled Over Injury Risks For Infants
More than 114,000 infant car seats are being recalled because their carrying handles can partially detach, increasing the risk that a child could fall and be injured.
Britax Child Safety issued the recall for 114,660 B-Safe infant car seats, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report submitted on Thursday, Aug. 20. The recall covers several models, including B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours.
