Two people, including a Fairfield County resident, face charges after they were caught with heroin, cocaine, and prescription medication in the Hudson Valley during a suspected drug deal, police said.
The arrests resulted from an incident in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 17 just before 10:30 p.m., when a caller told the Putnam County Sheriff's Office that drugs were possibly being sold from a car within the village of Brewster.

Alisyn Camerota, A CNN anchor from Fairfield County, CT and with New Jersey roots is mourning the loss of her husband, she announced in a heartbreaking post on social media.
Camerota, who was born in Shrewsbury, NJ said on Friday, Sept. 20 on Instagram that her husband, Tim Lewis, died on July 27, 2024 — two years after being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Elliott Kropf, a senior who attended New Canaan High School, died on Saturday night, Sept. 14.

Fairfield County resident J. Michael Cline, the founder of Fandango and other startups, who died from an apparent suicide after falling from the 20th floor of a luxury hotel in Manhattan, was a father of six.
Cline, age 64, a homeowner in Greenwich, died around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, at the Kimberly Hotel on 50th Street, said the New York City Police Department.

Steven Bannon Set To Report To Danbury Prison To Serve Sentence
Steve Bannon, a once trusted strategist to former President Donald Trump, is set to report to prison Monday, July 1, in Fairfield County.
Bannon, a conservative podcaster, is set to begin a four-month sentence at the federal prison in Danbury for defying a congressional subpoena that was investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots.
The 70-year-old had turned to the US Supreme Court to avoid reporting to prison. That request was denied on Friday, June 28, by the court.
