PURCHASE, N.Y. -- It was a long but ultimately successful night Wednesday for the Purchase volleyball team as the women played their home opener.
Purchase rallied from a deficit to overcome visiting Lehman, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 16-14 in a marathon match. Senior Olivia Hintz was a force at the net, amassing 22 kills and the Panthers finished with 62 for the match. Hintz also had nine digs.
Freshman Jenna Nardi, a Yorktown graduate, added 15 kills and 11 digs. Freshman Katie Westervelt had a match-leading 32 assists and Mickaela Olson registered a team-high 17 digs.
